The Inside Story of spotLESS Materials

What if there was a surface that never got dirty? A surface that could be easily cleaned with just a quick wipe? We are on a mission to make this a reality. Our brand, spotLESS Materials, is dedicated to transforming technology for good.

What if there was a surface that never got dirty? A surface that could be easily cleaned with just a quick wipe? We are on a mission to make this a reality. Our brand, spotLESS Materials, is dedicated to transforming technology for good.

We started out by solving one of the world's most pressing issues: human waste residue in low-water toilet systems. In 2015, a group of engineers working under the Gates Foundation's Reinvent the Toilet Challenge approached Dr. Tak-Sing Wong with a problem: human waste residue in low-water toilet systems.

Dr. Wong and his team quickly realized that "sticky problems" are not unique to sanitation, and set out to make coatings specifically to repel human waste. Their ultimate goal is to use what they have -- their skills, their technology - for good. This is how spotLESS Materials was founded - with the goal of using our skills and technology for good in all areas of life.

One of the biggest challenges we face as a brand is explaining what we do and why it matters. It can be difficult to see how something as simple as a surface that never gets dirty can make a real difference in the world. But when you think about it, it's really not that different from other technologies that have transformed our lives. For example, the smartphone was once a novel technology, but now it's an essential part of our everyday lives.

When you have a great idea and a team that's willing to work hard, anything is possible. At spotLESS Materials, we're dedicated to using our skills and technology for good in all areas of life. We started out by solving one of the world's most pressing issues, human waste residue in low-water toilet systems. We may be starting out with surfaces that never get dirty, but we believe they can have a real impact in the world. And we're not alone in this belief. We've been approached by groups from all over the world looking for a solution to their most pressing problems. From automotive application to medical, surfaces get dirty, so they need to be cleaned or replaced. Our aim is to make surfaces that keep themselves clean.

It's a lofty goal, but we believe it's worth fighting for. We're committed to using our skills and technology for good, and we hope you'll join us on this journey!
